Wow, Im glad to be home. Nothing like a rainy weekend to make you pack up a little quicker than normal and git on the road! Im very glad that we went to Happs this weekend – we, was Joann Keller Green, Lori Golitzin and myself. We had a great time together, not harmed at all by Lori’s excellent cooking. That has to be the BEST Ive ever eaten at an event. Marinated chicken on the grill, mixed greens salad with blue cheese, homemade carmelized walnuts and pears, killer european potato salad, and fantastic wine. Joann and I kept pinching ourselves and reminiscing about the days when we used to eat powerbars for dinner (two weeks ago).

Or actually, this post should be titled, “Not breaking a young horse”. Because Im done with it… I am no longer breaking young horses and here is why: Ive seen an expert and I can honestly say that he does a better job than I do and he produces a horse that is ready for work more quickly and with less hazard to my health. Now, he is only 3 so he is busy growing up, but I was making no headway to getting back on him again with his formal riding education. Debbie De Witt mentioned that I should take him to a feller named Cowboy. So after a small deliberation of about 0.2 seconds, I called him and delivered Boogie a few days later. That was Friday, and today, Monday, is my day off and I went to go see the progress. (more…)
NWEC Mothers day HT
Tuesday, May 11th, 2010From one wet, dreary, cold weekend…. to what could be a different part of the country this weekend. We are SO lucky to have had great weather this last weekend for the Area VII opener at NWEC in Rainier, WA. I even got a sock tan from today and a left arm tan from driving home in the afternoon sunshine. While you finish the rest of this blog, you can watch the video I made of the weekend here.
Toasting Paul!
Wednesday, May 5th, 2010
Wow, what a cold weekend. Ok, in the grand scheme of things, it was not that cold but I was not expecting it to be quite this dreary for our clinic last weekend. Thankyou everyone for enduring the rain!!!! Some groups had it worse than others, but nobody complained at all! I also had a lot of fun, despite the long days. By the last day I think that instead of saying something to someone about posting up tall with their shoulders.. we all ended up laughing about Toasting Paul! Whoever Paul is (Paul Ebersole?? I’d toast to him) I hope he enjoyed the attention. (more…)
