Polestar De Novo
Polestar Farm Inc. and Tamarack Hill Farm are proud to announce the joint ownership of stallion prospect Polestar De Novo. This 2006 colt out of Foxy Forever (Good Deal Lucille, TB) by Holsteiner stallion, Cevin Z is shaping up to be quite a handsome horse and we are excited to watch him develop into an event stallion. De Novo's dam, Foxy Forever, competed at advanced level with Meika and is half-sister to Denny Emerson's advanced gelding, Foxed Again. Their sire, Silent Fox, is a full brother to 1978 Triple Crown winner, Affirmed.
Meika's background
Meika started her riding career bareback, on Welsh ponies in Bellevue, Washington, and participated in the local 4-H program and pony hunters. She evented seriously through high school and then took a 9 year break while she pursued academics and her love of biology and ecology. Returning to riding after graduate school, she met her husband, Mark Salser, and somehow convinced him to move to North Carolina to improve her riding resume on the competitive East Coast. She has competed at the Advanced and CCI**** Level since 1999 and plans to continue doing so for awhile. She has been chosen twice for the USET Developing Rider training list and has had the benefit of working with both David O'Connor and Kim Severson for those sessions.
