China Silk
8 year old 15.3 h bay TB mare. “Silky” is an experienced Novice level horse who is working her way up the levels. She started off with one BN event last year and then completed 4 more events at Novice level. Silky was ridden by her owner who was learning the eventing ropes in her first year of competing as well. She has a consistent personality and she keeps a level head whether away or at shows. Silky is straight and correct in her flatwork, and she can be a little on the lazy side on most days. She would take a junior rider through pony club easily, or a small adult can gain confidence on her. Periodically, she gets excited about jumping and she can throw in a buck after the first warmup jump of the day, but that seems to only be at home. At shows she has been very dependable and quiet, Shauna even rides her bareback while grazing (with a helmet, of course!).
The perfect new owner for Silky would be a junior or a small adult who wants a horse with enough scope to work up to Preliminary and someone who is not afraid to her her inner-TB out. She would be happy with returning to BN or continuing her way to Training level this coming season.
