Polestar Farm

Board/$650 per month

Full board includes three feedings per day. We will supply hay and grain to maintain the horse in the best condition possible. Owner must purchase all extra supplements and fortifiers, this is not provided by Polestar Farm. We believe that turnout is necessary for happy and healthy horses and at least 12 hours a day is normal here, often more when the weather allows.

Vet Visits/$20 per trip

Meika will happily take your horse to the vet's office for any reason.

  • Full Training/ $400 per month

    Full training includes the horse being ridden and trained by Meika 5 days per week, and possibly exercised by an employee of Polestar Farm for another day. The owner will fully explain the needs and desires for the horse's training and Meika will follow through to the best of her ability. Primarily, the horse's needs and health will be of the foremost concern.

  • Part Training/$300 per month

    The horse will be trained by Meika at least 3 times per week.

  • Coaching at Shows: $55 per day

  • Lessons: $50

Clipping: $135

Body clipping is a smart solution for horses that are actively competing or working throughout the winter months. Clipping your horse allows for the sweat to evaporate more quickly when ridden and faster drying time during the cool down period. A clipped horse has less of a chance of catching a chill because moisture is not trapped under a winter coat.

Farrier 'Babysitting': $20

This job is usually performed by one of Polestar Farm's employees. Some horses need a little help standing still and being entertained while the farrier does his job. We gladly do this as it is very helpful to have a happy horse to allow the farrier to do a good job on the feet, and it promotes good all-around behavior for the horse.
